Study: Fermentation, Cell Culture, Bioprocess; Hair Growth Effect of Fermented Pleuropterus Cilinervis Extract

The study evaluated the effects of Pleuropterus cilinervis extracts and animal milk, fermented with Lactobacillus rhamnosus, on hair growth in C57BL/6 mice. The experiment involved four groups, including a normal group, a negative control, a positive control, and an experimental group treated with the fermented mixture. After 8 days of topical application, the experimental group showed greater hair re-growth compared to the positive control group. The findings suggested that the fermented extracts could promote hair growth, indicating potential applications in hair loss treatments.
