The Promoting Effect of Pleuropterus Cilinervis Extracts Fermented with Lactobacillus Rhamnosus on Hair Growth
January 2011
The study investigated the effects of Pleuropterus cilinervis extracts fermented with Lactobacillus rhamnosus on hair growth in C57BL/6 mice. The experimental group receiving the fermented extracts showed significantly higher hair regrowth compared to the positive control group treated with Minoxidil, a known hair growth promoter. The study concluded that the fermented extracts promoted hair growth more effectively than Minoxidil, suggesting potential applications in hair loss treatments. The bacterial count during fermentation remained high, and the pH was stable, indicating successful fermentation.
