TLDR Mesotherapy, a treatment with micronutrients and antioxidants, improves hair growth and thickness, especially in younger women, but needs long-term care.
In 2014, a study was conducted on 24 women with androgenetic alopecia to test the effectiveness of mesotherapy, a treatment involving a combination of micronutrients and antioxidants. The results showed a positive effect on hair growth and thickness, with a slight increase in hair density. However, the effect on hair density was significantly more pronounced in younger women compared to older women. The benefits of mesotherapy were observed for a period of 6-12 months, indicating that the treatment requires long-term care.
