Feline Trypanosomosis in a Free-Ranging Domestic Shorthair Cat (Felis Catus)

    TLDR The cat fully recovered from the infection after treatment.
    A free-ranging domestic shorthair cat named Lily was diagnosed with Trypanosoma evansi infection after presenting with symptoms including alopecia and incoordination. The treatment involved four weekly doses of diminazene aceturate and supportive therapies. Despite developing decubital ulcers due to inactivity, the cat fully recovered within one month after treatment, with no Trypanosoma spp. detected in the blood smear post-treatment.
