TLDR JSLE patients often have more hormone and metabolism issues, so regular check-ups and preventing obesity can help.
Patients with juvenile-onset systemic lupus erythematosus (JSLE) experience a higher incidence of endocrine and metabolic comorbidities. Regular monitoring of these patients is recommended to manage and potentially reduce these health burdens. Additionally, preventing obesity in JSLE patients may be beneficial in decreasing the risk of developing these comorbid conditions.
