TLDR Using both hyaluronic acid compounds together improves skin hydration and reduces wrinkles better than using one alone.
The study evaluated the safety and efficacy of two hyaluronic acid (HA) compounds, Aliaxin® Global Performance (cross-linked HA) and Viscoderm® Skinkò E (non-cross-linked HA with vitamins, antioxidants, amino acids, and minerals), in skin rejuvenation. In guinea pigs, both compounds increased collagen and elastic fibers without causing significant inflammation. Clinically, combining these compounds improved nasolabial fold hydration, reduced trans-epidermal water loss, and enhanced wrinkle appearance more effectively than using Aliaxin® Global Performance alone. The findings suggested that these HA-based compounds could be safely used together for long-lasting facial rejuvenation.
