Comparative Evaluation for the Efficacy and Tolerance of Two Skin Products Containing Either Hydroquinone or Emblica Extract with Kojic Acid in Female Subjects with Facial Dyschromia

TLDR Both skin products were equally effective in improving facial discoloration and skin quality.
This study compared the efficacy and tolerability of two skin lightening products in 70 female volunteers with facial dyschromia. Product A contained emblica extract and kojic acid, while Product B contained 2% hydroquinone. Over 12 weeks, both products significantly reduced the intensity and size of facial dyschromia and improved skin radiance, evenness of skin tone, and roughness. There was no statistical difference between the two products, indicating that the emblica extract with kojic acid was as effective as hydroquinone.
