TLDR Sunekos® effectively improves labia majora appearance and is well-tolerated.
This pilot study assessed the efficacy and safety of Sunekos®, a hyaluronic acid-based extracellular matrix, for labia majora rejuvenation in 10 post-menopausal women. After three intradermal injection sessions, all subjects reported at least 25% improvement in hyperpigmentation and sagging by week 12, with significant enhancements in skin firmness and elasticity (p-values 0.005 and 0.022). Patient satisfaction was high, with a median score of 8/10. Mild adverse effects like erythema and swelling resolved within 48 hours. The study concluded that Sunekos® is effective and well-tolerated for labia majora rejuvenation, though further research with larger sample sizes is needed.
