TLDR Ayurveda treatments may effectively manage sub-clinical hypothyroidism symptoms.
This exploratory study investigates the efficacy of Ayurveda interventions in managing Sub-clinical Hypothyroidism (SCH) through a case study of a 33-year-old male patient. The patient, who exhibited symptoms such as hair loss, weight gain, and lethargy, underwent a nine-month regimen of Shodhana followed by Shamanoushadi. The results showed a significant improvement in the patient's condition, with a substantial decrease in TSH levels and a 70% reduction in symptom severity. This suggests that Ayurveda could be a viable alternative for managing SCH, potentially reducing the need for lifelong hormone replacement therapy.
