Efficacy and Safety Evaluation of SESA Oil vs Coconut Oil in Different Hair and Scalp Ailments: Prospective, Open Label, Randomized Comparative Study

    A study conducted at Maharashi Ayurveda Hospital evaluated the safety and efficacy of SESA oil versus coconut oil in treating hair and scalp ailments. Fifty individuals (28 women and 22 men) participated in this prospective, open-label, randomized comparative study. Over a 3-month period, the SESA oil group showed a significant improvement (87.5%) in hair and scalp conditions compared to the coconut oil group (17.4%). Additionally, SESA oil improved the psychological condition of the patients. No adverse reactions were reported or observed, leading to the conclusion that SESA oil was five times more effective and safe compared to coconut oil.
