TLDR Multiple plasma donations do not change donors' biochemical parameters.
The study from the Blood Transfusion Institute of Serbia, which included 105 blood samples from plasma donors, found that multiple plasma donations do not affect donors' biochemical parameters. The donors were categorized into three groups: 54 first-time donors, 27 with over 100 donations, and 24 with 100 to 200 donations. The parameters tested—total serum protein contents (TSPC), albumin, and ALT transaminase—remained within normal reference ranges across all groups, with no statistically significant differences observed in relation to the number of plasma donations.
