TLDR Multiple platelet donations do not affect blood cells and plasma proteins in donors.
The study examined changes in whole blood cells and plasma proteins in 42 donors who underwent plateletpheresis more than 20 times with intervals of 14-16 days. Results indicated that platelet (PLT) counts, hemoglobin (HGB), hematocrit (HCT), total protein (TP), and albumin (ALB) levels remained within normal ranges and showed no statistically significant differences between the first and last screenings. The findings suggested that multiple plateletpheresis donations did not affect the whole blood cells and plasma proteins in donors.
