TLDR 150 kHz Electromagnetic Radiation seems to reduce the number and size of ovarian cysts in rats with PCOS, with minimal changes in developing follicles.
The study investigated the effect of 150 kHz Electromagnetic Radiation (EMR) on polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) in rats. Twenty-one female rats were divided into three groups: control, Estradiol Valerate (EV), and EV + EMR. The EV + EMR group was exposed to 150 kHz EMR for eight weeks. The body and ovary weights did not significantly differ between the EV and EV + EMR groups. The estrous cycle was irregular in both the EV and EV + EMR groups. However, the ovarian histology showed near-normal morphology with little or no degenerative changes in the developing follicles in the exposed group. There was an increased number of developing follicles and a significant reduction in the number and size of follicular cysts in the EV+EMR group. Hormonal analysis showed no significant difference in testosterone and FSH levels between the EV+EMR and EV groups, but the LH and LH/FSH ratio decreased significantly in the EV+EMR group. The study concluded that 150 kHz EMR appears to have a positive effect on PCOS, reducing the number and size of follicular cysts and causing little or no degenerative changes in developing follicles.

A 30-year-old female with PCOS and male pattern baldness is frustrated with her endocrinologist's recommendation of only Spironolactone and minoxidil, feeling that dutasteride, finasteride, and progesterone would be more effective. Other users suggest various online sources for treatments, warn against self-medicating due to potential risks, and recommend seeking a specialized endocrinologist or considering additional treatments like Inositol, Berberine, and dermaneedling.
