    Image of study
TLDR People with lichen planus are more likely to have abnormal blood fats than healthy people.
The study investigated the association between lichen planus (LP) and dyslipidemia in a sample of 100 participants aged 20 to 50 years, divided equally into 50 patients with cutaneous lichen planus and 50 healthy controls. After fasting blood samples were taken for lipid profile analysis, it was found that 70% of the LP patients had dyslipidemia, compared to 36% in the control group. This difference was statistically significant with a p-value of 0.001 and an odds ratio of 4.1481, indicating that dyslipidemia is significantly more frequent in patients with lichen planus than in healthy individuals.
