Hair loss, particularly androgenic alopecia, affects nearly 50% of men and women and is linked to the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (DHT) by 5α-reductase, leading to hair thinning and loss. The research suggests that traditional formulations like Durdhuradi Taila may nourish the scalp, strengthen hair roots, and promote regrowth by modulating the biological mechanisms of alopecia.
