TLDR DORN1 receptor affects eATP-induced stomatal changes but not eADP in Arabidopsis thaliana.
The study investigated the role of the DORN1 receptor in the eATP and eADP signaling pathways affecting stomatal behavior in Arabidopsis thaliana. It was found that DORN1 likely served as the receptor for eATP-induced changes in stomatal aperture, as the dorn1-3 mutant did not exhibit the wild type's response to eATP. However, DORN1 was not involved in the eADP signaling pathway, as the dorn1-3 mutant responded similarly to the wild type when exposed to eADP. The research provided insights into the specific functions of DORN1 in plant cell signaling, particularly in guard cells.
