DNMT3B -579G>T Polymorphism And The Risk Of Colorectal Cancer In Azerbaijan Population

    Bayram Bayramov
TLDR The DNMT3B -579G>T polymorphism may increase the risk of colorectal cancer.
This study investigated the association between DNMT3B -579G>T polymorphism and colorectal cancer risk in the Azerbaijan population. It included 115 patients with colorectal cancer and 115 controls. The genotyping results showed that the GT genotype was significantly different between the two groups, and the mutant TT genotype was more frequent in the patient group. The findings suggested that the DNMT3B -579G>T polymorphism could be a genetic risk factor for colorectal cancer development.
