TLDR Bim and Puma proteins are found in developing mouse hair follicles and are involved in more than just cell death.
The study investigated the presence of Bim and Puma proteins in mouse hair follicles using immunofluorescence and TUNEL assay double staining techniques. These proteins are involved in the regulation of apoptosis, and their detection in hair follicles could provide insights into the mechanisms of hair growth and loss. The research was conducted by teams from the Institute of Animal Physiology and Genetics and Masaryk University in Brno, Czech Republic. The findings suggested that both Bim and Puma were present in the hair follicles, indicating their potential role in hair follicle apoptosis.
