TLDR A Labrador pup with a fungal skin infection was fully cured in four weeks using topical treatments and immune boosters.
A three-month-old male Labrador pup was diagnosed with dermatophytosis, a superficial fungal skin infection, presenting symptoms such as patchy alopecia, mild pruritus, and skin discoloration. The infection was confirmed through a Woods lamp test and lactophenol cotton blue staining, which identified the presence of Microsporum spp. and Trichophyton spp. The pup was successfully treated with topical Miconazole and Chlorhexidine, focal therapy with clotrimazole, and oral immune boosters, leading to complete recovery in four weeks.
