TLDR COVID-19 can cause various skin issues, with some linked to how severe the illness is.
This cross-sectional study examined dermatologic manifestations in 86 COVID-19 patients (50 female, 36 male) at a dermatologic clinic. The study found 18 specific types of skin complications, with maculopapular rash and scalp hair loss being the most common. Statistically significant differences were observed in the onset of maculopapular rash, telogen effluvium, and papular urticaria relative to COVID-19 symptom onset. Additionally, maculopapular rash, telogen effluvium, and urticaria were significantly associated with the severity of COVID-19. The study concludes that a wide range of skin lesions can occur in COVID-19 patients, with certain dermatologic manifestations linked to disease severity.

community Tretinoin for some men(not all) can cause non-telogen effluvium hair loss

      in Research/Science  2 upvotes 2 days ago
Tretinoin can cause non-telogen hair loss in some men by inducing catagen-like changes in hair follicles and through retinoid toxicity, especially when used with minoxidil. Some users report hair loss even when using retinoids on the face, while others experience benefits when combined with treatments like finasteride and minoxidil.

The post discusses potential links between low vitamin D levels and hair loss, and how correcting this might impact the effectiveness of Minoxidil and Finasteride treatments. The responses vary, with some suggesting that vitamin D deficiency would cause overall scalp hair loss, while others believe it would first affect the most sensitive areas.
