Various studies, including randomized controlled trials and systematic reviews, indicated that LLLT/PBM reduced the severity and duration of oral mucositis, improved patients' quality of life by alleviating pain, and promoted healing. The therapy was highlighted as safe and showed potential as a standard supportive care option for managing oral mucositis in cancer patients.
