TLDR Enteral supplements can improve symptoms of Cronkhite-Canada syndrome.
Cronkhite-Canada syndrome (CCS) is a rare nonfamilial condition characterized by gastrointestinal and epidermal disturbances. A case study reported a 33-year-old Indian male with symptoms including loose stools, abdominal pain, weight loss, generalized weakness, significant hair loss, and hyperpigmentation. Endoscopic examination revealed severe gastroduodenitis and multiple polyps in the colon and duodenum. The patient was treated with high protein supplements, proton pump inhibitors, and zinc-vitamin supplements, leading to complete recovery within 5 months. This case highlighted the importance of early diagnosis and appropriate treatment in managing CCS symptoms.
