Creambath Formulation With Concentration Variation of Water Extracts of Ambon Banana Weevil (Musa Acuminata Colla)

The study investigated the formulation of a creambath using water extracts from Ambon banana weevils (Musa acuminata Colla) at concentrations of 8%, 10%, and 12% to promote hair growth. The creambath was prepared using dissolution and mixing methods at specific temperatures, and the final products were evaluated for various properties. The formulations were white to ivory white, odorless, and had an oil-in-water emulsion type. They were homogeneous with a pH range of 6.05 to 6.38, spreading ability between 4862.05 mm² and 3672.67 mm², and viscosity ranging from 12,000 cps to 145,000 cps. The flow properties were pseudo-plastic thixotropic, indicating the potential of Ambon banana weevil extracts in hair care products.
