TLDR Scalp treatments increased hair density and reduced hair loss in Telogen Effluvium patients.
In a study conducted 10 years ago, 36 individuals diagnosed with Telogen Effluvium underwent scalp treatments to compare the differences in the numbers of hair bulb and hair density before and after the treatments. The treatments, which were chosen based on the patients' scalp types, aimed to improve scalp metabolism and normalize keratinization. The process involved the application of various products, including a scaling product, ozone mist, scalp shampoo, and conditioner, followed by exposure under an infrared lamp. This regimen was repeated over 20 times once a week. The patients were also advised to use a home care product, C/D Shampoo. The results showed a decrease in the number of telogen bulbs from a mean of 33.1 before treatment to 15.5 after treatment. Additionally, there was a significant increase in hair density after the treatment. The study concluded that scalp treatments showed positive results in increasing hair density and reducing the number of telogen hair bulbs in patients with Telogen Effluvium.
