TLDR PCOS is common in women, often treated with lifestyle changes and oral contraceptives.
This study examined the clinical and demographic characteristics of 48 patients diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) at a hospital clinic. The average age of participants was 23 years, with a mean body mass index of 26.1 kg/m². Irregular menstruation was the most common reason for clinic visits (83.3%), and the most frequently observed PCOS phenotype was group A (47.9%). Lifestyle modification was the preferred treatment (75.0%), followed by oral contraceptives (45.8%). The study highlights that PCOS is a prevalent endocrine disorder affecting women of all ages, with lifestyle changes and oral contraceptives being common treatment options.
