TLDR Multimedia education greatly improves women's knowledge and management of PCOS.
The study evaluated the impact of multimedia education on 100 women with PCOS at Sohag University Hospital, using a quasi-experimental design with pre/post-tests. Significant improvements were observed in menstrual irregularity, menstrual bleeding, amenorrhea, and oligomenorrhea (P=0.005; P=0.001; P=0.012; P=0.04). Post-intervention, 93% of women achieved satisfactory knowledge levels compared to 5% pre-intervention (P<0.001), along with improvements in BMI and menstrual irregularities. The study concluded that multimedia education effectively enhances women's understanding and management of PCOS, recommending its use for addressing PCOS and its reproductive health impacts.
