TLDR The combined treatment significantly improved hair growth and thickness compared to the control group.
The study evaluated the effectiveness of various pharmaceutical agents used by hair implant surgeons to promote hair growth in 500 patients. The treatment combined antioxidants, iron, calcium, zinc, amino acids, and vitamins E, D, and C with minoxidil and finasteride. Results showed that in Group I (cyclical regimen), hair density improved by 30% at 2 months and 52% at 4 months, while hair caliber improved by 37% at 2 months and 47% at 4 months. In contrast, Group II (control) saw only a 2% improvement in density at 2 months and 3.6% at 4 months, with no change in hair caliber for 44% of patients. The improvements were maintained over a 2-year follow-up period.
