TLDR Cedar and castor oils with high frequency can help hair growth in androgenetic alopecia.
This study investigated the effects of cedar oil and castor oil, combined with high frequency, on androgenetic alopecia (AAG) in 7 volunteers. Participants were divided into two groups: Castor Oil + High Frequency (OR+AF) and Cedar Oil + High Frequency (OC+AF), undergoing 12 treatment sessions over a month. Both groups experienced new hair growth, with OR+AF showing improved hair density and shaft thickness, while OC+AF showed improvements in density, thickness, and hair count. No significant difference in oiliness was observed. Satisfaction levels were high, with 57.1% satisfied and 42.9% very satisfied. The study suggests that these phytotherapeutic oils, combined with high frequency, are promising for AAG treatment.
