TLDR Carpronium chloride increases blood flow by widening small blood vessels.
This study investigated the effects of carpronium chloride, a hair growth reagent, on microvascular blood flow in rat mesenteric arterioles using intravital videomicroscopy. The research demonstrated that topical application of carpronium chloride led to arteriolar vasodilation and increased blood flow without affecting mean systemic blood pressure. These findings suggested that carpronium chloride caused dilation of vascular smooth muscle in the microcirculation.
