The Use of Carboxytherapy in the Complex Treatment of Periodontal Diseases

The study investigated the use of carboxytherapy in treating inflammatory periodontal diseases, involving the injection of medical carbon dioxide into specific oral regions. Conducted at Samara State Medical University, patients were divided into a control group receiving standard oral hygiene and a main group receiving additional carboxytherapy. Results showed a significant decrease in inflammation indices and improved blood circulation in the main group, with no adverse effects reported. The study concludes that carboxytherapy is highly effective as part of a comprehensive treatment for periodontal diseases.
