TLDR "Burning scalp" syndrome causes discomfort and may be managed with special cosmetics.
"Burning scalp" syndrome is a sensitive skin condition characterized by symptoms such as burning, itching, pain, trichodynia, redness, mild exfoliation, and sometimes hair loss, which significantly impact the quality of life. It is a heterogeneous condition linked to various comorbidities, including dermatoses, organ pathologies, psychosomatic disorders, and environmental factors. Currently, there are no standardized treatment guidelines, but therapeutic cosmetics that normalize the microbiome and offer antipruritic and anti-inflammatory benefits show promise for long-term management and prevention.
