TLDR Botulinum Toxin Type A delivered through the skin may be a promising treatment for Frontal Fibrosing Alopecia.
The document presents a case study of a patient with early-stage Frontal Fibrosing Alopecia (FFA), a disease with unknown causes and no cure. The patient underwent three monthly sessions of treatment with 30 units of Botulinum Toxin Type A, delivered via the MMP® (Microinfusion of drugs through the skin) technique. The treatment resulted in a significant improvement in the patient's condition, inhibiting the inflammatory process and noticeably increasing follicular density in the treated area. This suggests that Botulinum Toxin Type A delivered via MMP® could be a promising therapeutic approach for FFA.
