TLDR Taking Bioactive Collagen Peptides increases hair thickness.
In a placebo-controlled study involving 44 healthy women aged 39 to 75, the effects of Bioactive Collagen Peptides (BCP) on hair thickness were examined over a 16-week period. Participants received a daily dosage of 2.5 g BCP or a placebo. The study found that BCP intake led to a statistically significant increase in hair thickness compared to the placebo group. Additionally, BCP exposure enhanced the proliferation rate of human hair follicle cells compared to untreated control cells, suggesting a positive effect of BCP on hair metabolism.
