Management Of Pediatric Alopecia Universalis Through Ayurveda: An Experience

This case study examines the use of Ayurvedic treatments for a 5-year-old boy with Alopecia Universalis after conventional methods failed. Over 12 months, Ayurvedic therapy, which included topical applications and oral medications, significantly improved the patient's condition, reducing the Pediatric Severity of Alopecia Tool Score from 100 to 30. This indicated notable hair regrowth on the scalp, eyebrows, and eyelashes, with no adverse effects reported. The study suggests Ayurveda as a promising alternative treatment for AU, but recommends further research with larger sample sizes to confirm these findings.
