PCOS affects about 12% of women and can lead to various issues such as menstrual irregularities, hormonal imbalances, fertility problems, and physical changes like acne and hair loss. Ayurveda correlates PCOS with Aarthava Kshaya and describes it under the term "Yonivyapada." The report highlights that Ayurvedic texts mention several herbal formulations for treating conditions resembling PCOS, including Latakaranj seeds, Shivlingi, Shatpushpa, and Kounch.
