TLDR Ayurvedic treatment helped a woman with PCOS become pregnant and have a healthy baby.
This document presents a case study of a 35-year-old woman with polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) who experienced infertility, irregular menstruation, rapid weight gain, mood swings, and hair loss. She had a history of failed ovulation induction and was recommended for intrauterine insemination (IUI) or in vitro fertilization (IVF) due to a bilateral PCO pattern, left-sided tubal blockage, and scar endometriosis from a previous surgery. The patient was treated with Ayurvedic tablets containing herbs like Katuki, Kanchanar, Satapushpa, and Kumari, alongside a strict diet and exercise regimen. After four months, she achieved regular menstrual cycles, weight loss, improved mood and energy, and successfully conceived, eventually delivering a healthy baby boy. The study highlights the effectiveness of Ayurvedic treatment for severe PCOS-induced infertility.

Scalp biopsies are crucial for diagnosing hair loss conditions like Diffuse Unpatterned Alopecia (DUPA) and retrograde hair loss, as treatments like finasteride and dutasteride may not be effective if other conditions are present. Combining PPAR-GAMMA agonists with retinoids could improve treatments for conditions like Lichen Planopilaris.
