TLDR The combination of Typhonium flagelliforme extract and natural interferons effectively reduces tumor growth in mice.
This study investigated the antitumor effects of Typhonium flagelliforme leaf-ethanolic extract combined with natural interferons from canines or felines in 18 female mice with DMBA-induced skin tumors. The combination therapy was found to stabilize body weight, inhibit tumor growth, and reduce mitosis, angiogenesis, and the expression of PCNA and Caspase-3. The study observed three types of tumors: anaplastic carcinoma, fibrosarcoma, and squamous cell carcinoma, with alopecia and reddish skin in tumor-bearing mice. The results suggest that the combination therapy has significant antitumor activity compared to single treatments.
