TLDR Santolina chamaecyparissus oil effectively fights fungal infections.
Santolina chamaecyparissus volatile oil demonstrated significant antifungal activity, effectively controlling experimental candidiasis both in vitro and in vivo, including vaginal and systemic infections. It also showed a synergistic effect with clotrimazole against Candida albicans and controlled superficial cutaneous mycoses, suggesting its potential for further clinical studies.
