TLDR RCDP NCs are promising anti-aging cosmetic ingredients that improve skin health by reducing oxidative stress and enhancing cell function.
The study explores the anti-aging effects of composite nanocarriers (RCDP NCs) that include ribose, collagen, decarboxy carnosine HCL, and palmitoyl tripeptide-1. These nanocarriers enhance skin penetration, cellular uptake, and anti-aging efficacy by regulating autophagy and inhibiting oxidative stress. RCDP NCs showed improved cellular uptake and proliferation, reduced oxidative stress, and enhanced anti-aging effects compared to free RCDP. They demonstrated superior skin penetration, increased proliferation of HaCaT and HSF cells, and strong antioxidant properties by improving CAT, SOD, and GSH-Px activities while reducing MDA content. The study concludes that RCDP NCs have potential as effective anti-aging cosmetic ingredients, highlighting their ability to deliver bioactive substances and promote anti-aging effects in skin cells.
