TLDR Alpha-tocopherol does not prevent hair loss from doxorubicin.
The study evaluated the effectiveness of high-dose alpha-tocopherol acetate in preventing doxorubicin-induced alopecia in 20 patients with various solid tumors. Despite the treatment, 90% of the patients experienced severe hair loss, and 10% had moderate hair loss. The trial concluded that alpha-tocopherol did not demonstrate any protective activity against hair loss caused by doxorubicin.
