TLDR Modified PRP therapy successfully treated severe alopecia unresponsive to traditional methods.
A patient with alopecia totalis, who was unresponsive to traditional treatments, was successfully treated using a modified platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy. This case highlights the potential of PRP therapy as an effective alternative for patients with severe alopecia who do not respond to conventional treatment methods. The success of this treatment in a recalcitrant case suggests that PRP therapy could be a promising option for similar patients.
