TLDR Aloe vera in hair products promotes healthy, strong hair but may cause allergies in some people.
Aloe vera is a popular ingredient in hair cosmetics due to its rich composition of polysaccharides, vitamins, minerals, enzymes, amino acids, and phytochemicals, which contribute to hair health. It offers anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and antimicrobial properties, soothes the scalp, promotes hair growth, and strengthens hair strands. Aloe vera revitalizes the scalp, reduces dandruff, nourishes hair follicles, and enhances hair luster and strength. It is commonly used in shampoos, conditioners, serums, and masks for its conditioning and moisturizing benefits. However, it may cause allergic reactions or skin irritation in some individuals, and high oral doses can lead to gastrointestinal discomfort.
