    TLDR The aloe ferox gel with finasteride and oregano oil may effectively treat alopecia.
    The study developed nano-cubosomes loaded with finasteride and oregano oil, incorporated into an aloe ferox gel, to enhance drug solubility and skin permeation for treating alopecia areata. The optimized formulation, with a particle size of 135 nm and 70% entrapment efficiency, showed improved drug release and skin permeation compared to finasteride aqueous suspension and pure finasteride gel. The aloe ferox and oregano oil demonstrated synergistic effects, enhancing finasteride permeation and inhibiting p. acne bacteria growth, suggesting this formulation could be an effective treatment strategy for alopecia.
