    TLDR In 2022, aesthetic procedures increased, with nonsurgical ones rising and surgical ones falling, but surgeries still made most of the revenue.
    In 2022, aesthetic procedures rose by 14%, with a 23% increase in nonsurgical procedures and a 12% decrease in surgical ones, which still generated 70% of revenue. Popular nonsurgical procedures included neurotoxins and skin treatments, while top surgical ones were liposuction, breast augmentation, and abdominoplasty. Despite a decline from 2021, surgical procedures were 37% above 2019 levels. Women accounted for 95% of procedures, mainly aged 51-70. Surgical procedure costs rose by 12%, nonsurgical costs fell by 10%, and total revenue was $11.8 billion. Notable cost changes included a 9% increase for abdominoplasty and a 12% decrease for toxins. Significant growth was seen in otoplasty (82%) and neck lifts (37%).
