TLDR Adult stem cells are effective and ethically acceptable for treating various diseases.
Adult stem cells were considered the gold standard in regenerative medicine due to their successful clinical applications and lack of controversy, with over 1 million transplants performed by 2012 for hematopoietic conditions. While embryonic stem cells faced ethical and practical issues, and induced pluripotent stem cells presented genetic instability risks, adult stem cells demonstrated therapeutic benefits in cardiovascular diseases, neurological conditions, multiple sclerosis, type I diabetes, and spinal cord injuries, reinforcing their preferred status in clinical use.
