This report described two cases of acute prostatitis in intact male German shepherd dogs, which presented with symptoms such as high fever, haematuria, blood dripping from the prepuce, frequent urination with small volumes, pain, and reduced appetite. Diagnostic tests showed erythrocytes and microorganisms in urine, pain upon rectal palpation, and enlarged prostate with increased echogenicity on ultrasonography. The dogs were treated successfully with finasteride, phenazopyridine, and enrofloxacin.
