TLDR The conclusion is that using light-sheet fluorescence microscopy with a special solution can effectively create detailed 3D images of human skin for dermatological research.
The study demonstrated that light-sheet fluorescence microscopy (LSFM), when combined with optical clearing using a benzyl alcohol and benzyl benzoate solution, can effectively create 3D images of human skin biopsies. The researchers were able to make formalin-fixed human skin biopsies transparent and used LSFM for detailed imaging of skin structures, including normal skin, skin appendages, and a psoriasiform skin lesion. The imaging revealed epidermal hyperplasia in the pathological sample and allowed for 3D reconstruction to compare epidermal layer thickness and volume between normal and psoriatic skin. The study concluded that these techniques provide valuable new applications for high-resolution 3D visualization and quantification in dermatological research.

An 18-year-old male used anti-androgens and oral Minoxidil for 10 months to treat hair loss. He initially used 1mg Finasteride and 5% topical Minoxidil for 5 months, then switched to Dutasteride for 4.5 months and inconsistently used 5mg oral Minoxidil for 2 months due to availability issues.
