Xenografts, also known as xenotransplants, refer to the transplantation of cells, tissues, or organs from one species to another. For example, using pig skin grafts to treat human burn victims. This technique is often explored in medical research to address the shortage of human donors for organ transplants and to study disease mechanisms.

Transplanting mice skin to humans is not feasible due to immune rejection, but some suggest genetic modification or immune suppression could make it possible. Xenograft hair transplants are discouraged.
