    Voice deepening, also known as voice lowering, refers to the process where the pitch of a person's voice becomes lower. This typically occurs during puberty in males due to the enlargement of the larynx and lengthening of the vocal cords, influenced by increased levels of testosterone. It can also occur in females, though usually to a lesser extent, and can be influenced by hormonal changes, aging, or certain medical conditions.
