TLDR Injecting 2 ml of TEEV every 4 weeks is better because it has the same benefits but fewer side effects.
In a double-blind cross-over study involving 150 postmenopausal women over 2 years, the effects of testosterone enanthate with estradiol valerate (TEEV) were compared to a placebo. Participants received either 2 ml of TEEV every 4 weeks for 6 months followed by 1 ml every 2 weeks for another 6 months, or the reverse. Out of the initial participants, only 20 of the 50 in the placebo group and 51 of the 100 in the hormone-treated group completed the full year of treatment. The study found that the beneficial effects, such as improved well-being, physical activity, and hemoglobin levels, were the same whether the hormone was administered every 4 weeks or every 2 weeks. However, the regimen of 2 ml every 4 weeks resulted in fewer side effects like breakthrough bleeding, breast engorgement, excessive libido, voice deepening, increased hair growth, and edema. Therefore, the study concluded that administering 2 ml of TEEV every 4 weeks is the superior regimen due to its sustained benefits, convenience, and minimal side effects.
